Nebraska Autism Resources
It’s never easy to receive an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis. Parents of children who are diagnosed with autism may experience some strong emotions, including shock, worry, denial, fear, sadness, anxiety, anger, stress and much more.
Luckily, there’s a lot more information and knowledge about autism than there was even 20 years ago. Thanks to advanced studies and research, professionals are better equipped to diagnose autism at younger ages than ever before, as we know more about the common causes, signs and symptoms associated with ASD.
Those who receive an autism diagnosis also have more treatment options today, including the highly-regarded applied behavioral analysis, or ABA therapy. In Nebraska, Blue Gems ABA offers this science-based approach to behavior and learning throughout the state.
There is also a wealth of resources available that were created to help parents of children with autism in a number of different ways.
Here are some of the best Nebraska autism resources available.

Being a parent of an autistic child doesn’t have to be all about worry, anxiety, fear anger and more emotions that carry negative connotations. It can also be extremely rewarding.
At Blue Gems ABA, we help children on the autism spectrum build the communication, social and daily life skills that they may struggle with.
We do so by first evaluating children for ASD and diagnosing them if appropriate, based off information that our clinical psychologists gather. Then, we administer tried-and-true ABA therapy through our team of BCBAs who are trained, educated and dedicated to all of their patients.
