July 29, 2026. Blue Gems ABA today announced the promotion of Elisa Mathewson to Chief Compliance Officer, further strengthening the organization’s investment in ethical care, clinical quality, and systems designed to support clinicians and the families they serve.
Elisa Mathewson is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with over 15 years of experience in Applied Behavior Analysis across clinical services, leadership, payer operations, and compliance. In her new role, she will lead Blue Gems ABA’s compliance strategy and continue developing clear, thoughtful systems that help clinical teams provide high quality care while remaining aligned with ethical, regulatory, documentation, and payer expectations.
After spending over a decade in direct clinical care and leadership, Elisa transitioned to the payer side of ABA, gaining extensive insight into authorizations, payer requirements, compliance, and systems level operations. In early 2025, she returned to the provider side when she joined Blue Gems ABA and began building and expanding the organization’s compliance program.
